Singer, songwriter, recording artist, lifestyle/music journalist and entrepreneur…the creative and artistic wherewithal that Susan G possesses is boundless and continues to flourish with each and every project that she immerses herself in. Today, we’re going to spotlight a sizzling new single by the Seattle songstress titled “Could You Be’, a provocatively fun and flirtatious pop track that beams with an illuminating soundscape. Furthermore, “Could you Be” highlights a sultry, charismatic vocal performance by Susan that resonates with each word that she drops over the infectious groove.

“Could You Be” represents the type of track which has come to define Susan G’s extensive catalog of music, eclectic in sound with a core pop leaning but containing a harmonious fusion of electropop, R&B and soulful undertones. The sonics of “Could You Be” are driven by an enthralling guitar riff throughout and rhythmic bass line phrase that compels you to move some part of your body, if not, just a foot tap at least, but the musicality definitely captures your listening senses right away.

Susan accentuates the composition with a free-flowing vocal delivery that projects a suggestive, seductive aura which fits the song’s theme to a tee as it touches on a woman’s chance encounter with a gentleman she’s attracted to that could end up in an indulgent night of intimacy.

So take me to your house

Let’s have another round and

We could keep each other company

I get off on danger

You’re my kind of stranger

Could you be my island fantasy

Could you be

Oh could you be

Susan G explains how the idea of “Could You Be” came to be….”I kept playing these guitar chords over and the melody just fell out one day. A lot of my music is pretty emotional and heartfelt and I was craving something with more of a light and fun vibe. I immediately sent the voice memo to my producer, Elijah Grae in LA and we went back and forth remotely (I’m based in Seattle) until we had the whole song completed in about two weeks!”

This track carries a big-time vibe in all aspects of a commercially successful record and the good-natured energy that it exudes will surely make this a song that will thrive with music listeners across the globe.
