Reminisce” by Raine Seville

Last time here, we reviewed an R&B/Hip-Hop song made to get most people in a calm, pensive mood.

Well today, this music review is for lovers of hot, steamy music!

So if you’re looking for that song that will boost your memory into recalling times spent with your lover……

Or a song to sweeten up the mood when you’re together, “Reminisce” by Raine Seville is a track you should be placing on your playlist!

This August, Jamaican Dancehall Reggae/R&B singer, Raine Seville released the single “Reminisce” off her EP titled Iconic. The R&B track was released by Seville Records/Consequence music to all musical platforms.

Now we all know that at some point in most artists’ careers – especially R&B artists – they release seductive, steamy songs about their bedroom experiences.

Songs that make you think about your lover or your best sensual moment.

That is exactly what Reminisce is all about. “Reminisce” is to Raine Seville, what “Back to Sleep” is to Chris Brown” –a song about loving.

The Song’s Message

There are very important elements that are brought together to make a song. The message is one of them, which is why I am very particular about lyrics. A dope beat combined with captivating lyrics, equals a hit!

Reminisce is a song with a simple lyric that can easily send the message across. The 3-minute long track is about Miss Seville reminiscing about her lover and their time under the sheets.

She loves how her lover touches her and she remembers how it makes her lose control:

“Love the way you touch me baby, make me lose control… When you slow whine up on me baby, I can feel it in my soul.” She sang.

Reminiscing about sexual experiences is quite common and that makes this song very relatable.

I mean, most people (maybe you too!) have caught themselves in an office, in a meeting or even in the classroom reminiscing about the wild time they had with their partner that morning or the previous evening!

Sometimes even when you’re alone, the thoughts swim in and out of your mind.

Raine goes on to explain in some details how she and her partner get down.

“Hold me down and gently caress… you looking at my eyes, whisper inna my ears and grab my neck.”

“Reminisce” also has a cool vibe with that a hint of R&B and that catchy dancehall beat.

It draws your attention after a few seconds and in no time you might find yourself swaying to the beat or bobbing your head.

Unlike most R&B tracks, you can dance to “Reminisce” at the club or a party.
