After taking a hiatus to focus on her education, Jenn has leaped back onto the music landscape, reinvigorated and poised to establish herself even further among industry tastemakers and critics alike. Once again teaming up with Rob Wells, Jenn has released a dazzling new pop/dance single titled “Insecurities” – a beaming song that tackles the tumultuous swing of emotions a person can experience in a relationship, particularly when doubts or insecurities arise…that just accentuates the agita!
However, with that said, Jenn’s illuminating vocal performance and the buoyant soundscape of this track turn a sensitive yet relatable subject into a bona fide jam. Powered by an uptempo drum pattern that even by itself can compel you to dance, the production on “Insecurities” also features a charging synth and electric bassline that stand out prominently but still carry an insatiable melody that you can’t resist but move to.
Jenn surfs the wave of this ear-catching instrumentation with a bright, angelic-toned charm and charisma. Her vocals are expressive but not presented in an over-the-top fashion. Jenn subtly conveys the sentiments of this track exceptionally well. You find yourself rooting for her to get past these “insecurities” as the song proceeds. Hey! The topic of the rollercoaster of love is often laid down to the backdrop of a sad song or ballad. However, Jenn Connor’s rendition is full of pizazz, swag, and a big time vibe.

More About Jenn Connor
Jenn’s focus on her own music career has been matched only by her love of teaching and helping others achieve their musical goals. Armed with a creative and entrepreneurial spirit, the Burlington, Ontario resident opened her own music school in 2022 – Jennifer Connor Studio of the Arts. “My goal is to reintroduce the beautiful Bel Canto vocal style to the pop landscape and share my passion and expertise with singers and pianists of all ages. I hope to develop my own artists while teaching voice and piano lessons and pursuing my singing career.”
Though she stepped back from releasing songs since “Like I Did” came out, Jenn continued writing and recording new music while still developing her craft. “I took a break from releasing new songs to focus on my education with specific emphasis on journalism, production, and new media.” She graduated from the College of Sports Media in 2021 and is now excited to share “Insecurities” with her growing fan base.
