Recently formed pop/rock band Hello Fiasco is primed to put the music industry on notice as they bring their distinct brand of gritty rock and pop infused tracks to the landscape….undeniably unique and distinguishing them from their contemporaries in the genre.

The 5-member Canadian/North American outfit came together in 2021 and consists of frontman and lead vocalist Eric LaBossiere (born Canadian and lives in Helena, Montana) while Joel Couture (bass), Joel Perreault (lead guitars/backing vocals), Ivan Burke (drums/backing vocals), and Guy Abraham (keys/Ableton/backing vocals) all reside in the Winnipeg, Canada region.

This immensely talented collective of singer-songwriters, musicians and producers have collaborated to emerge on the scene with the release of their debut album Find the Shoreline, a 12-track collection of the aforementioned gritty pop and rock tunes that resonate sonically from an instrumentation perspective as well as the signature emotive and expressive vocal performances by Eric LaBossiere throughout the project.

Today, we’re going to spotlight the lead single off of Hello Fiasco’s groundbreaking album titled “Hold Me Close”, a gripping song and composition that possesses an uptempo soundscape and plush guitar section that drives the core edge of the song. The surging guitar phrases are layered brilliantly with a rhythmically rolling bass line and crashing percussion throughout that adds a grandiose mystique to the song, very soundtrack like…something you can envision being played during a climactic scene in a film.

That brings us to the concept of the track which is dramatic in its own way as it touches on the conflicted emotions that arise out of a relationship in turmoil or teetering on the brink of ending. In essence, ‘Hold Me Close’ is a plea to somehow return back to the way things use to be’ when the romance was in its better days.

Eric conveys the sentiment of the song’s theme masterfully with a charismatic, impassioned vocal delivery, particularly in the hook, and it presents an authenticity that envelopes you in the song as you absorb the heartfelt lyricism.

“Hold Me Close” is the type of track that it doesn’t even feel like three minutes have gone by as you immerse yourself in the listening experience. Hello Fiasco is certainly a group set to take the industry by storm as they display that “it” factor with an unabashed confidence and aplomb. It’s something that exudes prominently in each recording they deliver.

Hello Fiasco Bio

Before 2021, former members of The Mailman’s Children joined forces with other Canadian artists to record 23 original songs. At the top of 2021, the new Pop Rock band publicly emerged as Hello Fiasco. Although Hello Fiasco is principally Canadian, the band is considered “North American” because their frontman Eric LaBossiere (born Canadian) lives in Helena, Montana, USA. The rest of the band, including Joel Couture (bass), Joel Perreault (lead guitars/backing vocals), Ivan Burke (drums/backing vocals), and Guy Abraham (keys/Ableton/backing vocals), all live in the Winnipeg, Manitoba, CANADA region. Hello Fiasco has been compared to Panic! At The Disco, Fall Out Boy, The Killers, Franz Ferdinand and David Bowie, though listeners have also said they definitely have a sound and style of their own.

“Hold Me Close” Lyrics

Why don’t we step outside -Take a car ride
Why don’t we catch a flick – Maybe we will click
Like we used to way back when we were new

We do the things that we’ve done over and over before
A new experience is all that I’m asking you for

Hold me close and help me remember
Can you hold me close like there’s no other
I wish you would hold me close like there’s nothing else

Should I have shared the shame
Have I been wrong to blame
My courage it comes in waves
And then it pulls away
I never say a thing – I never say a thing

We do the things that we’ve done over and over before
A new experience is all that I’m asking you for

Can you hold me close and help me remember
Can you hold me close like there’s no other
I wish you would hold me close like there’s nothing else

Can you hold me close and help me remember
Can you hold me close like there’s no other
I wish you
I wish you would hold me close like there’s nothing else
Like there’s nothing else
