Cat explains her inspiration to write such a stirring tribute to Amy:
Well, it was just such a sickening shock when Amy died…being so young, with so much going for her and so many people (including myself) who truly adored her, and were inspired by her. Perhaps it hit so hard because I’m an artist too. I felt moved to honor her memory, and let her soul know that her people still love her and miss her! It just felt important to me.
Cat conveys these genuine emotions and intent behind the song magnificently through an engaging lyricism.
